Goa/Acid/German trance in NYC?

Hi!
Does anyone know if Goa/acid/german style trance can still be heard anywhere in NYC? I know it’s not as popular as it once was but in my 20 years of raving I can honestly say those are the only genre’s I never get bored of. I was excited when I heard the State of Trance tent was coming to EDC.. I thought I was going to hear crazy acid and mind bending trippy sounds but all I heard was what sounded like top 10 electro house and vocal trance(nothing personal against either of those styles though, just not my cup of tea)
So, are there any DJ’s or clubs that regularly play this style of trance or am I just out of luck? |

this is funny. i was missing some psy so i went to check my usually to go to forums for events but they are shut down. i guess the only source i have so far is https://www.facebook.com/groups/psycheground/
so, yes. you can still find some of these sounds but you have to find the promoters. they have random nights on random clubs. There is no club that only books one genre. clubs get booked by random promoter. However from this group that i just posted up there , there seems to be a consistency with Sullivan room on Thursdays with psy. I think this venue will not host this events anymore so best bet is to hurry up and join the group and message the moderators about other forums that have a "rave" diversity of events |
