Ever since trance and EDM in general became big, people seem to extremely shallow thinking the "DJ" makes the tracks. It all started with that moron,Tiesto.
A lot of so called "EDM listeners" are also so ing biased it's not funny. If it doesn't have a name that they know, they won't give it a chance. If it has the word "tiesto, shultz, armin" they'll be cheering for it.
I can bet 50 bucks that a lot of people would simply turn a blind eye or have a different opinion, if a track didn't have a name they didn't recognize.
It's no wonder a lot of producers turn into "DJs" and try to either join the commercial bandwagon or try to make a name for themselves, because producers simply don't get the respect they deserve. They are the people behind the art and talent not some bull wannabie DJ.
Am I right here?
At least in the 90s, passionate fans were respecting both djs and producers but now it's all one direction. |
