Ultra is destroying my local show selection.

| Can't go to Ultra, for many reasons, so I really need a good booking in the Tampa area. It seems like Ultra sucks everything away from the rest of the state. You would think that atleast a few acts would play Ultra and then try to book a few shows in different cities. We have nothing going on aroud here. Please help ease my mind with your insight on how I am wrong, and that we WILL get some talent. Or...even if I am just wrong and have no idea what I am talking about, you can comment on that. |

| the entire industry is in miami for that week+. why would you think they would leave that? if they want to keep making money theyll stay there. you cant tell your boss 'oh but everyone else is there' and expect to have the day off and still get paid. |

Half the world is in Miami from the 14th - 24th. You forget it's not just Ultra it's WMC with about a bazillion parties going on. Why would you travel 6 hours away when you can make the same dough by traveling a mile down the street? Start calling your residents. Good luck.
Pretty sure you won't be able to book anyone, unless someone is leaving on tour or Europe gigs. |

| makes sense for sure. no, spending $500 on a night in miami right now just isn't in the cards, really busy with 2 jobs and my parents are visiting that week...would love a good show at the kennedy, ritz or even the amp is tolerable if it's a good enough booking. guess i just have to be patient. |
