dirty dishes

I have an obsessive habit of always washing the dishes as I get done cooking with them (pots, pans, utensils). After I plate the food, I allow whoever I'm cooking for to start eating while I wash whatever is left over and wipe down the kitchen.
There's just something about eating a good meal and not having to worry about a leftover mess to take care of afterward.
Anyone have a habit of doing this? Or do you just leave it to do after your meal?
Or even worse leave everything l in the sink to dry out until the next day, or the next, or the next...

So what you're saying is just because you get married doesn't mean you've acquired a personal dishwasher.

Washing the dishes before eating your meal is kinda weird. Your food will get cold!
I just leave them until after the meal is finished, or occasionally the next morning. Half the time I use the dishwasher anyway, so it's not really a big deal. |

Any worthwhile set of pots and pans does not get the dishwasher treatment. |

I just meant for plates and stuff, I don't put pots and pans in there either :o |

In all seriousness though, sometimes I need to stop her from washing up before me when it's my turn.
And, no, I don't let her do all the household chores. She's my wife, not my cleaning lady. |

| After I finish eating I either clean or relax with a beer and then clean. |

I don't mind doing dishes, but i also like to try and do them as I'm cooking or soon thereafter. i HATE scrubbing and scrubbing. just easiest to do stuff right away... |
