so, it has been decided that oakeys hey-day was the best. wouldn't say i disagree, but i don't think it's as simple as that either.

anyway, i was listening to the resident cream cd, and despite the digital crowd, it is still amazing. he used to play some great records. definitely a golden era encapsulated in that cd.

ohh eisbaer!!

also, this oaky-caned classic is mesmerising... it just keep going on!! sound very dated, i think the original record is 1994, not sure when the trance mix was done, possibly at the same time?! it sounds old. it has that famous gamemaster bassline effect. i think it has a name, no?

Man With No Name - Sugar Rush (Refined Mix)
The Auranaut - People Wanted To Be Needed

Those tracks come to mind when I think of Oakenfold. That Animal track is a my favorite of mine too, it's so relentless, losing no energy in the process.

Technically the song was by: Jan Johnston, released on the Perfecto Label circa 2001 along with a Tiesto Edit. But in my opinion this song will always belong to Oakenfold, as it was on Another World first..

I knew it was Jan Johnston but I always refer to it as Tiesto.

Yea, although Oakenfold's Another World album was released in September of 2000, the remix of Flesh was indeed Tiesto's.. However Tiesto didn't include it in his album until May of 2001.. So I dunno.. When I first heard the album, I always attributed the song to Oakenfold.. But I suppose your right.. Its indeed a Tiesto Remix but a Oakenfold / Tiesto Classic =)

Having heard that chronological info you have a good point. Oakenfold had a lot of stuff he was only given, and it either got release years later or never seen the light of day outside of him.

There are many but Lyric & Natali - Over Emotion (Original Mix) is one I want Lyric to release, I don't know why he doesn't.
