Apogee One?

Anybody here using an Apogee One? I'm looking for a small single-channel sound card for my MacBook Air. I like the fact that the One is small, portable, simple, and has a built-in mic. Seems like a perfect solution to me, but I'd like to hear from some people who have owned/used it. How is build quality? Sound quality? Anybody have examples of something recorded with the built-in mic? |

Don't you have a Zoom field recorder? I seem to recall you do.
I'm only saying because my H4N works as an audio interface too. |

No, I had a loaner for a bit and I thought about buying one years ago, but never did. I'm mostly interested in the One as an interface/mic for scratch tracks.
BTW, I've found a bunch of audio demos on YouTube of songs recorded entirely with the One's mic, so no further convincing needed there. I'm still interested in hearing user's opinions, esp. regarding build quality before I buy one. |

Well I can't imagine it being not good. |

That's my assumption as well. I've never owned or used an Apogee product, but based on their reputation alone, I highly doubt that I will be disappointed. |
