Why do people always vote for their favourite producer when asked this question, or rather, why is it that people asume the best producers are the best dj's.
Some of my favourites
Eric Morello (just one listen and my breath was taken away)
Mark dynamix (becasue he's not affraid to play something different in the hard trance dominated scene, and do it well)
Picotto (becasue while his sets lack any form of by-the-book perfection, they have a feeling of excitement and songs just seem to come out of nowhere) |

Jules has got to be the biggest tossa in the world, and most of the sets I've heard from him don't flow and have crap beat matching, but I do give him an enormous amount of respect for one particular set - Qontact 01.
Anyway, I haven't ventured far into the world of live sets, so my knowledge is fairly limited:
