That being said, they look like ing idiots when it is sunny, because they walk around with umbrellas. Pale is a status symbol here. I'm brown, but I'm a status symbol too. I make them wear a bib in bed. |

| I definitely do try to protect my skin from the sun. There's something I find sort of vulgar about a really dark tan. I just got back from vacation and have a pretty good tan - it it just seems obscene somehow, lol. |

| I'm as black as it gets here. Having a good tan makes people look better in my view. I would even fake and bake in winter back home. Granted, less for the tan, more because when it is -20 a little fake and bake actually makes you feel good and not like a depressed seal clubber. |

| Absolutely, a little bit of tan is nice for sure. It's the overdone leather suitcase tans that are gross. The tan I have now is definitely way darker than I would normally have, even having used high SPF sunscreen all week. |

Haha, I see a lot of that around here. Looks nasty :stongue:
I tan pretty easily, and given the climate here in Brisbane, it's not hard to maintain one. That said, I generally try to stay out of the sun as much as I can. Not just because it's bad for my skin, but because it's ing hot :p I much prefer the winter weather here, and the UV levels are way lower. |
