Playing a headliner's tracks...in another venue?

What's your call on this? I'm playing the afterparty for a headliner, but it's at a completely different venue. Faux pas to play their tracks? What if they show up? Too cheesy to play their tracks as a sort of nod to them?

if they already played it, you will look rather daft.

no worries , you've to keep the line the headliner established just be sure to not replay the same stuff i've seen something that works very well but it's a bit pretentious: Since most artists tend to play his latest stuff i've been in a Marco Carola afterparty a month ago or so and they played some of his early career stuff.

You have the option to play any number of 9832749287349283749823749287 other songs that exist. Really, why bother with asking the question? Just play something else (imo) :)

I'd say why not? It's a completely different party where you don't even know if the headliner from ANOTHER party will show up or not. Now, if it was the same party or if you knew the headliners for sure would show up, or you were opening or closing for them, than I'd say no.

What is the point really? It's cheesier than a folding chair to the head.

the problem is that you need to think you are the headliner if you want to win.
