Every damn day, every damn weekend...doesn't it feel good?

This one goes out to everyone who is caught up in everything life has to offer.
Let me be frank, I haven't partied since Richie Hawtin at Webster Hall, what was that November last year, and it ing feels great. Ok so I think I've had one or two nights out randomly since then and for some reason I have the least desire to return back into the nightlife. I get it, the growing pains the lingering and reading about it, the thirst of the white knights appearing into my night time dreams.
As the weather starts to turn better, that familiar feeling is returning. The night time roof top parties, the mid day dancing in the sun listening to music getting sloshed. At what point do we stop? Is a week off here and there enough? Is seeing the same people at the same set of parties getting old? I've made some great friends this way and have met some not-so-great ones. I've seen how desperate it could feel and how genuine relationships begin to form.
All of this is great, the negatives and positives, but it's only great if there are other parts of your life that compliment it. So I ask you all, what is it OTHER that makes THIS special because the only way to know that THIS is special is to have the OTHER play a major role in your life.
For me, you all know me as an NYTA trolling sore-thumb and that i is, but a handful who know me outside of the nightlife, outside of TA, also know i'm a working profresh, entrepreneur, totally stoked old bag who is on the cusp of next echelon life and this long time hobby is ingrained as an escape from every damn day life. That's what makes it special to me.

Ohhh Shut Up...hee hee jk...I feel you man- I always wish I can go out more often but Time and Real Life always seem to take precedence- The big regret is always assuming you missed the set or party of your life- but in reality they will always be another night. This Summer should be fun and looking forward to some memorable nights. |
