Nope, no bridge. I guess they're thinking that 32-bit plugins are a thing of the past. I wish somebody would tell that to Sound Toys, Eiosis, etc.

it's pretty annoying, soundtoys makes some ing incredible plugins, but it's almost like they don't want you to use them with 32-bit and their godamn ilok

What a ing cluster 9 seems to be.

I know it's early days but messing up fundamental things like installation and VST folder destinations should not be happening.

Telling people to use the 32bit version smacks of them knowing there's a world of hurt (read: bugs/issues) with the 64bit version and they;re trying to avoid a deluge of tech support.

Where's my logic 10?

I was an early supporter of abletons, I still use 8 here, but a lot less than I used to. I think I will not upgrade before a long long time and will give Logic X full priority. I've been looking for live performance alternatives for a long time, though.

This thing has the worst installation method on PC. Why the eff does it always want to install to C:ProgramData? C'mon Ableton, pull your heads out of your asses.

A lot of plugs are installing into C:\Program Data nowadays, i think parts of Alchemys installation goes there as well - something to do with user access rights on windows 7, allows the program to auto update or something?

To be honest, 9 looks nice but I don't need it.

I m also stucked with many good vsts and other plug-ins - even from companies that do not support these plug-ins any longer (e.g. M-Audio) - So I would be basically stucked with live's 32 Bit-Version of live 9 I guess. (haven't upgrated yet as I wait and want to see how things turn out for other people)
:toocool:

But one question: Did anyone try external machines? Like a Virus TI? How is it working under live 9? During the last years Live came up with issues that never show up before. So just curious how it looks now.

thanks:)

So far, I've only used Live 9 on my MBA, but I plan on installing it on my desktop this weekend, so I'll try it with my TI2 and report back.

okay, good to hear :)

You are on the 32 or 64 bit-system of live?

Most of my VST's were 32bit and I am using a 64bit on a Windows 7 computer and so as a recommendation I purchased
