Cryo from memory you have one of Prophet yes?

Had one...well, had two, actually. Great synth - the only reason I got rid of it was because I downsized and only kept my Virus and PC3X, which each have very specific roles in my workflow. If prices on the P08 drop enough after the P12 comes out, I might consider another one.

Yeah sounds good I shall keep an eye and see how the pricing goes on the older model.

If I get another one, it will be the PE (Pentiometer Edition). My first two P08s were the original version with the endless rotary knobs and, even though I didn't have as many problems as some people had, I'd prefer the potentiometers. Something to consider if/when you start looking.

I'd also look at saving up for the Vermona Perfourmer Mk2

It is literally sex.

lol. You can even sync ossilators. Awesome.

there are 2 reasons to get an external synth in terms of sound. Distortion, feedback , input and a smooth filter. That is what makes external synths at least the new generation of analog ones sound different.

this thing overs nothing other than barebones modules but it isn't a modular synth. A tetra would blow this thing out of the water,

Checked it out - looks like a cool little unit. The only thing is not being extremely knowledgable iin tihs area, knowing the essential things of what I should be looking for in a good analogue unit. I guess how well the paramets configure and work etc, on sound shaping i suppose?

will look at some demos on it when i get home.

Cheers brother!
