WTF!

interesting, to say the least.

OK seems legit. Well deadmau5 used to play some tech house in his set and produced something some tracks that sound a little like techno but nothing similar to what Richie Hawtin plays... in my opinion it's going to be a crap set, it will be RH with the ocassional ups of deadmau5 but who knows maybe he has been producing some secret weapons and provides a different perspective that makes the set original.

nothing new
he's been saying this since he started
he even mentions how he likes hawtin in response to the question @8:35
and this interview is from one of his first shows

Richie must be low on cash or something.

it is mutual respect based on the canadian ties... or something.

Would have had more sense to do a B2B with John Acquaviva or Arnej then, i could see this 2 adding something to his set, specially Arnej adding some minimal beats or live playing with synths.

If it was other i'd think he is going for cash, fame but i think Hawtin is a serious artist and doesn't need to bring a clown on stage to fill an arena.

seen him (richie) recently a few times saying how avicii etc are great for the scene and ... :nervous:

edit:

think he touches on it here, but it's more like he wants to convert folk listening to the mainstream e into serious fans. he thinks it could be a gateway/stepping stone.

There is no scenario in which what's his face and Hawtin belong on the same card.

Except for a scenario where capitalism rules the music industry, and people want to do as much as possible to milk the latest "it" genre for all it's worth before it quickly becomes yesterday's fad.

Which happens to be exactly what's happening here...
