Any reviews of Mat Zo DJ wise? I really like some of his productions but am afraid the set will be non-stop trouse. Is he even considered a "trance" producer anymore?

was he ever?... *runs away

i checked him out only once at boat party ..like two yrs ago i think. he played very energetic set. it was the hard side of fusion "progressive trance" you know. side-chain-errrrthin pumping house. you could tell he was playing songs that were hot at that time. so based on that theory i would assume his sound now might be focusing in whats hot on this moment. at the boat party he definitely showed he knew how to entertain. kept the crowd dancing. but if your looking for some one that build up with different genres then he is not the one.

No thanks!

He never said he was a trance artist, so we cant technically say hes a sellout.
I used to love his productions back in 09...

now, I assume he's more interested in making that dough, so, good for him I guess. It was good while it lasted.

As far as I know, Mat Zo doesn't play 'trouse' at all. His newer sound has more crossover appeal for sure, but definitely nowhere near trouse. He does play a decent amount of electro as well, along with some Anjunabeats-style trance.

mat zo is an extremely talented kid. don't love all his stuff but doesn't mean it's not good.

Mat Zo - Fall Into Dreams (Album Mix) @ 1:58:15. What a track.

alright this is interesting mix for sure. but he will play no close to an essential mix. no one ever does. its pathetic. when it comes to essential mix, they all sit home and do their homework and create and nice mix bag. they know a lot of respectful djs and producers will listen to it.

He played on trance shows all the time and was signed to Anjunabeats. His productions were certainly more trancey back in the day and changed years ago.

So, Saturday was fun. Mat did play trance btw, but only really got there in his last hour or so. He played a couple Anjuna tracks, and some classics. His main style though is sort of electro progressive though.

I had a blast closing as well, but no surprise there. :) Got some videos uploading now
