Studio Monitor Feedback

Hey guys,
So I have EVENT Precision 6 studio monitors.
The left monitor always makes a horrible sound!
Like its a bunch of feedback that comes.
The weird thing is, it stops once I blast some music.. or if i leave it on overnight, its gone by the morning time.

Once the sound is gone, the monitor works and sounds perfectly.
What could be the problem?
My first guess would be the quarter inch wire maybe?

Here is a video of how it sounds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfJ8QxQnCyM

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks !

Could be a whole bunch of things - im not familar with them entirely but are they still under warranty or are you in the same area where yu originally purchased them from?

perhaps consider taking them back! it seems to be an electrical problem me thinks!

your really not going to know unless you pull them apart and i wouldnt suggest that not being knowledgable!

high pitch whine. it is probably just resonance. rf interferance? are you using shielded cable?

are you using a filter for your power supply, such as a clean source such as a power bar with a filter in it?

is it hooked up to a computer or mixing board?

are they grounded?

to me this says that there is a current going to your speakers and the signal is AC.. meaning you have power going to your speakers.. and it is a signal that is being interpreted by your speakers. either it is leaching into your cable, your speakers through the speaker power supply/circuitry.. one or the other. if you have a separate power supply try just turning the power on and don't connect them.. if it is still there it is your power supply line either your power source, or your power supply or some type of circuit problem. If its the computers it is either your sound card, or your os.
