All-in-One Controller Guide + bloggage

I recently started a new blog, PassionateDJ.com, where I tend to discuss the more conceptual aspects of DJing (rather than just a list of tutorials). Though, I will be putting together some howtos, reviews, etc.

On the site, I recently put together this guide for the digital DJ, on choosing the appropriate all-in-one controller: http://www.passionatedj.com/guides/...ntroller-guide/

I made it so that the guide pulls its pricing from Amazon, which works about 80% of the time. Not sure why it sometimes doesn't, but refreshing usually fixes it.

Some of you may remember an old post of mine which is floating around in here somewhere, where I compared DAW by their features, price, etc. and had it all in a big table. Well, I put all that together and then didn't touch it for a few years. I had thought about updating it, but what I'll probably do instead is make a similar guide for DJ software and post it on the site.

Anywho, perhaps it will be of some use to someone. :)

Nice blog!

But

I didn't see my controller there so I automatically take it back.

:-p

In all seriousness nice blog, before I got my MC3000, I had a Mixtrack Pro and it was fun but not enough for me. I also looked into the WeGO and Vestax Typhoon, but I said F it, for like 150 more I can just get the controller I always wanted.

I hear that. I really am more of a "do it once and do it right" kinda guy when it comes to equipment like this, but not everyone is willing or able to drop around a thousand bucks for a controller.

Thanks for checking it out. Posted a new one today about DJs and their egos. :)

Nice guide! I've had my Hercules RMX for a couple of years now and I love it. I'm definitely looking to upgrade to a nicer controller that can just play from USB sticks soon, though, as it makes better practice for using CDJs at the club (without the huge cost of CDJs).

Thanks for the info!
