A stage has collapsed at the site of the Ultra Music Festival in Bayfront Park, Miami Fire-Rescue said Thursday night.

Some people were trapped in the stage collapse, and rescuers are taking victims to Ryder Trauma Center, Miami Fire-Rescue spokesman Lt. Ignatius Carroll said in an email.

Two people have been taken to Ryder so far.

The 2013 festival is scheduled to begin Friday, with its first weekend running through Sunday, to be followed by a second weekend Friday, March 22 through Sunday, March 24.

I thought the interior LED panels were still in setup. The exterior panels and lights were placed earlier this week. From what I could tell, it looked like the panel that dropped was from the curved part of the stage above the booth.

Apparently OSHA is sending some folks over to review all the tents. And for now they have stopped work on the Mainstage but continues on the others.
