Little cables between Headshell and Cartridge

Hi Guys, I have an old pair of Headshells and I just Bought a pair of Statnton 680 EL II Cartridges, but thouse little cables of the Headshells are very dirty, old and Oxyde.. I was wondering if that could interfer in the quality of the sound.... i seacrched of some shops to buy those little cables but i didnt found it.. well.. I just hope u can give me a little help for what to do..

but since you bought new carts, shouldn't you have gotten new cables with them? |

Not necessarily. You don’t often get new head shells when you buy a new set of carts. That is of course, unless they are one of them all in one jobs. And since the cables are part and parcel of the head shell... |

| I belive they would affect the sound. I recommend buying some cheap headshells.. stanton headshell for about 11 bucks a piece |
