Actually it really isn't a "surveillance state" it is a warzone, there is a clear difference.
A lot of people think the government has control, apparently the internet goes beyond government control, even the government falls prey to the cyber soldiers out there, whether working for the government or other interests.
Its all susceptible to a certain extent some systems physically and others by code....
lots of the net is still very possible to be anonymous, just the bigger countries are instituting more controls... it hasn't been rolled out yet though. In reality though there is still quite a bit of open room for malicious computer use, it will catch up with people..
it will get hit if the war blows up though, already individuals and businesses are victims... its not hard to sabotage people, businesses or organizations.
The government can't effectively monitor the people who don't want to be monitored. Only free souls such as myself fall under the government and cyber soldiers radar, because they want to silence freedom because freedom is against everything government and personal interest stands for these days. Its not about watching, its about controlling. Police state is far more representative than surveillance state, it is surveillance for a reason, taking away your freedom.
Personally though I'm fine being monitored if it actually results in all the scum bags getting a bullet in the head dead.
I have to say there are good guys, and I don't want to lump them in there, but I feel like the people with bad intentions and or ignorance of the effects of their actions far outweigh the good guys.
The government wants it insecure though... because it wants to take advantage of people and will do the same thing in different ways that the really bad guys are doing.
Its not monitoring that is the problem it is removing freedoms that is the problem. |

oh man my brother in law is on this tin foil hat streak where everyday he posts some on his facebook about SHEEP NO MORE or something rather..
so far some of his gems include:
-chemtrails
-vacinations make your babies retarded and kill them
-the english monarchy has secret sneaky plans to annihilate the human race
-pepsi uses aborted baby fetus' as flavour enhancers
- etc. i can't remember all that
anyways.. it's shocking how stupid it all is. :wtf: |

At Christmas dinner this year, some family friend started going off about how Obama's Communist plot to destroy America. With two bottles of wine in me, I couldn't let it go and just destroyed the guy in an eventually wide-ranging discussion that lasted an hour. The next day, my Uncle reprimanded me for "intellectually beating up" the guest.
That's the craziest thing that's been mentioned at a family gathering, besides my senile Grandfather's adamant denial of climate change. |
