The first Kung Fu Panda-movie is also pretty decent, I guess.

Forgot to mention that one as well. We just saw it last week.
I didn't know there was a sequel?

I forgot to mention Rango and How To Train Your Dragon. Really enjoyed those as well.

I personally thought Rango was crap.... How to Train Your Dragon, on the other hand, I thought was brilliant.

The Pixar shorts are worthy of a mention too.

Waking Life should be mentioned.

This one definitely occurred to me, as I thought of A Scanner Darkly as well.

Aw I thought it was cute.
Any particular reason you didn't like it?

2 sequels (one coming), and maybe a webseries too, I think?

Also, Over the hedge.
And I can't remember if I liked Open Season or not. Haven't seen the sequels.

Edit: Nope, yeah it was a tv show as I first expected..

I actually haven't gotten around to see A Scanner Darkly yet. I have procured it though. It sits all nice in its "original packaging" up on the "Blu-Ray shelf". So I'll get around to it sometime. Just haven't been in a big movie mood lately blergh..

I thought A Scanner Darkly was a good film, but even I, the master of unravelling plot logic, could only hold the plot in my head for about five seconds at a time while concentrating very hard. It probably gets easier with repeat viewings.

Linklater has never held the reigns of a plot in any of his movies. I know it sounds like a convenient excuse that he just lets things flow, but I am not convinced that any of his movies would be much better off with more lucidity. We watched Before Sunrise just last night, and if you'd described it to someone who wanted to sit down and follow a movie, they'd scoff at you beforehand.

This is one I was trying to think of. Watched it a while ago on Netflix. Really touching.

edit: wait, do these have to be movies we enjoy now, as a adults, or of all time?
