Finally had a few days to myself to sit down and get creative again. (it's been awhile)
Not sure where I want this tune to go, but I'm diggin' the intro so far. Thinking about a few more spacey effects in the break and some beck and call with the melody.

| yeah the intro needs something else... you could think about turning the delay down a little in favor of more reverb and some extra percussion. the detune of the pluck gets a little distracting from time to time. i like the chords that come in, they recontextualize what's there and are suitably sweet and engaging. work well with a basso continuo. man i'm sensing some potential in this melody too. like this could be a really good track if you made it a little more jacking, like a joonas hahmo track maybe, and gave the melody just a liiittle more structure (either rhythmically or in the sequence) |

Cheers man, appreciate the feedback.
Definitely agree on needing more percs for most of my stuff...I'm just unsure what to add to keep it from sounding too busy.
Will try listening to joonas hahmo and as many other artists I can for some ideas on what kind of energy and sense of interest I can add.
I think the melody would benefit from a 2nd instrument calling back, since there's so much space in-between phrases...though I like the current melody as is. (maybe some melodic expansion later)
Lastly, I kind-of deem the whole section here as the intro, as I wanted to lay it out more like a story or journey. (Probably 8-9 minute range for track length) I was planning on having a breakdown after the melodic section and expanding/adding more to the piece.
