Hella jelly as usual.

Yeah I thought Benno left Rank 1 years ago no?

They're back together, from what I heard Benno got tired of trouse and wants to bring trance back... Ironically tho, floorlifter sounds a bit too trousy for me

Maybe I'll get a faster response here..

What will the price be at the door? Could let me know Esscala?

that's why I highlighted the later part at about3:00 above...
not knowing anything about that vid, wonder how long it went on actually?
:)

so, just checked the y-t info on this one, see these two top comments:

I think you like many other people nowadays don't know what real trance music is about? ;-) But it's mostly the fault of Armada & ASOT... I know trance-music since more than 20 years and I love old classics as well as new trance. Trance is about HUGE FEELINGS, not about destruction ;) It is the perfect mixture of energy and melody, putting a smile on the face, letting people drift into another dimension, make them unbelievable happy - creating goose bumps and shivers with HARMONIOUS SOUNDS!"

Elements Of Nature & 7 Instead Of 8 at least sound like trance, I don't like those tracks as well (not enough feelings, not enough energy, no goose bumps), but it still is trance.

Floorlifter is a boring electro track with noise instead of melodies and cheap typical build-ups, where they repeat one tone and repeatedly pitch it up - this is so annoying...

Generic Armada sound is not just crappy vocals, it's also W&W, Markus Schulz, Arty - all this stuff that sounds awful instead of beautiful"

People are too genre focused these days, I'd rather appreciate a song for what it is than obsess over what it's not. One cannot draw lines and set strict limitations on what art/music should be, that kind of attitude stifles creativity it does not encourage it. Stepping outside the box and experimenting with sound is what put EDM on the map in the first place. So trance does not sound exactly like it did 20 years ago, but that is just part of the process, EDM genres are like a vast and interconnected ecosystem, some cross over is not only natural it's inevitable.

OK now I sound like a bad philosophy major so I will stop... lol but you get it.

PS - When you read the last sentence with the word 'inevitable' picture House as Agent Smith and Trance as Neo. Should provide with some laughs.

did some one call trouse trance in my forum? nc nc nc :whip: :whip:

dear escalla personel. we know perfectly well what trance was 20 yrs ago and are in the known what most big label try to push as trance now.

electro is too harsh of a sound to be subtle in a trance track. once you have electro sound into your song you can no longer call it trance. it is completely different level of energy.

now take floorfilla. that is trouse. it has electro element and typical trouse build up , pitch up , scale up and drops. that is not trance.

but you guys are doing a good job of providing a different diversity of "trance" talents. still not my cup of tea but i can tell you are listening to your fans and bringing what they want. for that i will not call you out on calling this trance. i wish you had a wider fan base then 20 yr olds that still want to rage and demand hard-raging trance acts.

here is element of nature.

tell me if you can tell a difference. they are both trance right....right?

a.l.d.i.
btw i would have liked the element of nature but because of that annoying electro up-scale buildup from 2:00 - 2:35 i couldn't. i had forgotten about this song. so will most of the people. sad really. it would have been a nice track. it has that mike feel to it and that nice rank1 progression. but they gotta have that annoying build up

how much longer will this producers keep this technic? god so effing annoying!

lol aldi i love you man, but i think your lines are far too definite on what your definition of trance is. i agree, there is a LOT of electro/big room house coming out but at the same time there is a lot of TRANCE that does incorporate sounds from other genres without completely crossing over and it's done in good taste. i don't think any big label is trying to push trance that isn't trance, they know the niche is well aware of what's what. it just so happens they're putting out large amounts of other genres among the trance that they are pushing :o

uh, Armada?

refer to the comment plucked from youtube above, and just about the whole ASOT600 thread (less the trance-family contingent)
