i like terminal 5 for concerts, not DJ gigs. curfew is 2am the laaatest. hot natured would be a great outside, summer gig. |
this isn't a dj gig, its the us debut of hot natured live as a band.
it has dj support slots. |

HARD mainly does west coast events since they are west coast based....but they have had HARD NYC every year since 2008 I believe.
And yeah, they do focus mainly on the YOLO/Rage/Let's get weird Electro House/Dubstep/Trap stuff so for Jamie Jones and Lee Foss to be involved with an event with them is a shock.
I don't know how this will work out. |

Culprit introduces Hot Natured, a new project from Jamie Jones and L.A. resident Lee Foss. A modern take on classic and future music, with the party always in mind, Hot Natured has already been turning heads with its debut parties at this year’s DEMF and WMC.
Jamie Jones is a man who needs no introduction. A stalwart of the Crosstown Rebels crew he is one of the UK’s most sought after DJ and producer talents, a regular at the likes of Fabric and The End with international residencies spanning the globe. His productions have been picked up by some of the world’s top house and techno labels including Freak n Chic and Crosstown Rebels, and it was no surprise when he and fellow Brit Simon Baker were called upon to kick start Get Physical’s Get Digital label. His latest smash ‘Summertime’ was dubbed one of the track of 2009’s WMC by Resident Advisor and his eagerly anticipated full length drops later this year on Crosstown Rebels. Hot Natured unites Jones in the studio with his long time brother-in-arms and close friend Lee Foss.
Chicagoan turned Angeleno, Lee Foss has quickly made a name for himself in his new home town. A regular on the decks with Droog and an Avalon residency, his move West coincided with LA’s techno renaissance and Foss has become a key player in the city’s musical scene. Despite club demand for him behind the DJ booth, Foss has spent the last twelve months tirelessly honing his production skills in Droog’s ‘Bunker’ studio. With a slew of forthcoming solo releases and remixes, plus collaborations with Jamie Jones and Lee Curtiss, and with his tracks already being supported by everyone from Laurent Garnier to Ewan Pearson, Lee’s hard work is paying big dividends and with Hot Natured he is poised for stardom.

THis is a very odd pairing in my honest opinion.
I'm familiar with HARD. They throw on events with more the "rage" oriented type electro house/dubstep/trap/moombahton artists. I'm familiar with Verboten to. But for the life of me, I just have no clue why HARD and Verboten teamed up to give this as the official HARD NYC lineup. The usual people that have been apart of HARD NYC in the past are artists like Boys Noize, Excision, A-Trak, Diplo, 12th Planet, Flying Lotus...those type of people.
I love Jamie Jones and Lee Foss on their own(I'll admit, I'm not too familiar with Hot Natured), and those are the type of artists I would expect to be affiliated with Verboten because they're all about getting those quality techno/tech house/progressive/minimal/deep house type names. But this is pretty much billed as the official HARD NYC event on their website...which will mean this will probably be a weird crowd because the type to go a HARD event wouldn't be the type to go to a Verboten event.
Plus, Terminal 5? Really? I don't know how well that's going to go. I'm not one to complain, but I'm really scratching my head here thinking about it. |

Z:
now you did the double!
I already moved your second listing info into the prior post, so all you need to do is delete your thread.
Will also move the three comments, no problem (via guote, looks weird, but should work....) |
