Hello guys, as you you probably all know.. getting your music out there isn't the easiest thing.
Here I want to show you guys some important marketing/promotional skills that will help you gain momentum overall.
First things first:
1. Present yourself Professionally
- You wont be taken serious unless you do so otherwise
2. Have good material/content
- Have your best content at the top of your channels
Marketing 101:
1. Social Network!
- Think like a business... Expand, Expand, Expand!!!
- Use Twitter to give out the latest news, Facebook to interact with your fans, Soundcloud to post your new sounds, Reverbnation to do the same but reach a different crowd. Different crowds mean bigger and more diverse fanbase!
- Have a link on your Twitter that leads to your music, promote different channels on other channels. This will further diversify your fanbase.
- Use your social networks on the daily, make sure you're **NOT** just promoting your music. You will lose followers in sites like Facebook and Twitter. Give them entertaining content that is **NOT** related to your music. Let the entertainment be the hook to your channel, you'll have more chances of them liking you and retweeting your content in this manner, so when it comes down to Tweet/Post something related to your music, they'll be more inclined to retweet/share that content.

2. Network! Network!! Network!!!
- Make sure you're networking with the right people to get the connections you need to succeed. This may be other music producers, labels, venues, and other industry professionals.
3. Avoid Spamming Your Fans
- Don't over post to where you're spamming them.
- avoid sending automated messages when you get a new follower or fan. They'll know its automated, and will cause you to lose fans (cuss normal people send you a message a split second after you fanned them :P)
4. Be Consistent!!
- You want your name to be stuck in their head. Make them think about you, somehow, someway... be creative!
- Don't let your channels go unattended for several days at the time. Make sure you're keeping a presence!
5. Physical Promotion:
- Make sure you're promoting yourself online as well as offline.
- Have someone design flyers for you and distribute them at Raves, Malls, and other relevant places.
- Give out free stuff such as stickers. Their friends will see these physical things and ask about it. Thats word-of-mouth promotion. The most powerful type of promotion. Make sure you are doing things to make word-of-mouth happen.

First you gotta make sure you're in the right state of mind, as fatigue can lead to mistakes like having a space between "#" and "nofilter", which in effect negates the hashtag. So make sure you are not exhausted and have had a good night's sleep.
Next, it might be tempting to put dollar signs instead of the pound key due to being a pimp and wanting everyone else to know that you are indeed, a pimp.
