Health Insurance?

For those of you living in the stone-age (aka the US) and have to pay for health insurance how much do you pay per month (or if your job covers you and not dependents how much for dependents)?

Right now I am paying $230 a month for a full coverage after 5k deductible with dental and no vision.

I am thinking about going to a cheaper plan because I think I am in decent health, I am young, and I have never been a smoker and paying for a plan like this is insane.

5k deductible. :wtf: :wtf:

I am insured through my work and pay $80/month for 2 healthy smokers +Dental/Vision, $500 deductible.

Yea, this is my plan: http://www.regence.com/docs/UT/bene...-highlights.pdf

Was $200 a month when I first got it, within 6 months they jacked up the price "because of Obamacare" basically. ing hell.

Hahahahah. Yay Canada!

I do have extra coverage through work though - for stuff that OHIP doesn't cover, like dental and vision...also covers scripts, things like orthotics, massage therapy, chiropractor, physio, private hospital room coverage..and I have travel coverage as well.

that's a lot. i'm paying $143 a month for medical and dental with like $1500.00 deductible. if you live in US and in good health and need the insurance just in case, look at the plans here:

Yea you pretty much get shafted if you are over 26 and don't have insurance through your employer, which is a HUGE number of people in this country since almost no one offers health insurance for anything under full-time.

I am a healthy male, 27, and a non-smoker. The fact that I have to pay that much for such a high deductible is insane.
