ECL Events presents The Chainsmokers and Carl Louis & Martin Danielle alongside Francis Mercier
The Chainsmokers Biography: Apart from their unique personalities and boyish good looks from afar, they have many similiarites. They each graduated from prestigious North-Eastern Universities, like very hot chicks (esp the ones in house promo videos), enjoying a good burger, and have been rejected from many of the clubs they now play at. They agree that Riley Steele is an amazing porn star and car shows are ridiculously overrated when your poor.
Some but not nearly all credentials (The 2 cents): They have played at LIV in Miami, Set in Miami, Paradiso in Amsterdam, Roxbury in Los Angeles, Soldier Field in Chicago, Thekla in Bristol, Skybar in London, Villa in Ibiza, 1OAK in Vegas, Lavo in New York, and Le Bain in New York. Three years later, the duo currently hold residencies at NYC clubs like 1OAK, SL, Riff Raffs, SL East (Hamptons), South Pointe (Hamptons), and have shared nights with deejays like Calvin Harris, Avicii, Bingo Players, Swanky Tunes, Arty, Pete Tong, R3Hab, Wolfgang Gartner, Max Vangeli, Alesso, Steve Aoki, and Joachim Garraud. The Chainsmokers also made an official end of the year compilation mix for Armin Van Buuren's Napith record label.
While maintaining a love for house music of all varieties (Progressive, Tech, Deep, Electro and Funk) the two also blend in rock, hip hop, soul into their sets and understand that every room and crowd requires a different style and energy of music. They have spun for Jay-Z, Rihanna, Tiesto, Bruno Mars, Busta Rhymes, Usher, Lebron James, Ne-Yo, Drake, and more. The Chainsmokers have played events for LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennesy), Christian Dior, Microsoft, Bing, New York Fashion Week, Art Basel Miami, The Sundance Film Festival, Rolls Royce, Sean Parker (of Facebook and Napster), the Strokes after party, the soundtrack to Matthew Williamson and Emmanuel Ungaro's fashion shows, and NetJets. Carl Louis & Martin Danielle (CLMD) Biography: CLMD (Carl Louis and Martin Danielle) are two of the brightest new talents on the house scene with support already coming from major acts such as Tiesto, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia & more. Creating hybrids between the old and the new, they are showing how music can evolve like nature. Their single Black Eyes & Blue are getting huge international attention, now, especially it being the opening track for the Ultra Music Festival 2012 After Movie.
The talented Norwegian duo shows true potential through repeatedly creating explosive tracks and bringing exhilarating energy to the stage. Being played by house icons like Pete Tong and Tiesto, and continuously achieving listings among many of the worlds most famous radio stations, they have created huge expectations for their upcoming releases. No wonder fans refer to CLMD (Carl Louis and Martin Danielle) as the “true hidden treasure” of house music.
Now based in East Village, NYC, CLMD have taken a big step towards the success already announced by the big stars of the industry. With international support from Sony Music, they are releasing new tracks through their own label, UpNorth Recordings. With new releases and remixes in winter/spring of 2013, we anticipate many great nights with crowd cheering and house atmosphere for this young duo.
Francis Mercier Biography: Francis spins a mix of eclectic dance and house music with a splash of top mainstream tracks. FM is a versatile Disc Jockey and remixer who enjoys playing for all sorts of crowds. Apart from his musical talent, Francis has an extensive following as the strong hospitality/promotional team of NYC entitled Privé Event Planning INC always supports his performances with major networking. As he states, "since a very young age, I always wanted to rock tables and start dance parties", Francis lives for people dancing to his music & mixes.
