lol sell your gear bro.

monophonic: only one simultaniously key at a time, the next key kills the previous.
mono sound: same sound in both speakers, or just one output, ie not stereo.

or something like that

Seriously? It doesn't have a stereo output? I didn't even notice that. I guess that's not all bad, considering that it is a bass synth after all, but that still seems surprising to me.

Most of the little analogue monos are, the ones without FX on board at least.

Wat? I have no idea (except for ones with Stereo FX) why you'd make a bass monosynth have stereo outputs? does not compute.

I'm getting this to replace my axiom 25
clay
you should replace your moog with it

Because monosynths, even "bass monosynths", are widely used for synth leads. That's the main reason the Super Bass Station had stereo outs.

I know monosynths would be as they would be leads, but I just can't see the point with a bass monosynth.

On the last day of DEMF last year, the Moog "booth" in the tech room had finally gotten a Minitaur for people to try out. I went over, zero'd everything out...and mad a pad sound.

Why? Because I could. But more importantly, because even if it says its a "bass" synth, you don't just use it for bass. Leads, one-finger pads, fx, drums....by saying "well its just a bass synth", then it shows you have no imagination and lack the vision to see the creative potential of it.

Most of the electronic music ever made....techno, house, whatever you want to call what Kraftwerk made, musique concrete, jungle.....all made because people pushed synths and drum machines and samplers beyond what other people said they were "supposed" to do.

Saying its a "bass" anything will always be misleading, because its not what it says it does on the box....its all up to you.
