This one is definitely more driving than your other post. You've got a great ear for sounds that work together.
Personally - I'd ditch the block of stuff from 2:30 to 3:30. It feels redundant and slows down the tracks direction. Save it for the back half of the track.
Your lead melody flows beautifully with everything else in the breakdown. The Flute stab could use some clearing up though. It feels a bit out of key with everything else.
I'm not sure on the post break stab / single note. The syncopation is neat, but it doesn't fit the mood of the track to me.
Your build out of the break is too long. Tighten up that kick roll and it should work great.
Keep the back end as tidy as you made the front. It gets a bit messy - probably due to the fact that you had worked really hard on getting that front end established and clean.
This track is excellent but definitely can be tightened up. If you are interested in shopping it at some point - let me know. ;) |
