Hey guys,
I am currently working on an ACID Techno piece but I am really struggling to get the sound I want from my Triton, I found this x0xb0x Atomic Mod2 which does that distorted acid sound I want.

I was wondering if anyone had any hands on experience on the unit and have any thought to offer? e.g. what you like and dislike about the unit.

Thanks in advance.

just get Audiorealism Bassline..
That and a good distortion unit should more than cover all your basic 303 needs imo. If you can't get that VST to sound like the real thing, then it's a matter of lack of skill, not wrong equipment.

And I see also there's a pro version out now, looks even sicker.

However, I have a friend who owns an xoxbox and couldnt be more happy, and I guess I would too. But meh.. I love my ABL :D

Hey,
Thanks for the pointer, I have always been a hardware kind of guy and have a bad habbit of running a lot of plug-in while triggering my x0xb0x with cubase; sometimes it just becomes too much for the computer to handle.

So I would like to offload some of the processing onto the hardware, in this case I am also quite interested in others mods included in the kit such as the VCO, VCO CV and VCA modulation; which I don't think any 303 plug-in offers at the moment.

I am really interested in hearing some thoughts from people that has hands on experience on the kit.

Anyone?

I had a xoxbox - but not that particular mod. My experience was that it sounded nice - but the lack of being able to automate by midi made it redundant. I actually find myself preferring the sound of digital synths in my experience (never owned an analog poly though) I also really like abl. The solution for me is to get an extremely powerful computer !

If you want to try it just go for it though you can always sell it. For acid techo were the 303 is prob the main lead it might be just the trick. For me it wasn't worth it
