Yeah, same; I either buy old records that didn't get an mp3/cd release, new records that didn't get an mp3/cd release, or new records that have great cover art.

These days it's mostly the latter categories, as I attempt to spend less on my music addiction.

LP to the US said around two weeks. I still haven't received mine either.

I've been listening to the mp3s and I really like DAM and Thank You so far. Obsession is infectious as well, good opener.

You're facing the classic collector's dilemma. Unless your collection has some sort of combined historical worth (barely 15-20 year old records don't) you're not going to sell a larger amount for a decent price and if you sell one-by-one people only want the goodies and you sit on the rest.

At this point dance music records are a micro market. Only a few hundred get pressed and only a few hundred people even want the damn thing. This means that even a few people can really quickly change the market up. I think prices right now really are at a high point and I can't see the current crazy prices in the whole limited whitelabel second hand market going on for many more years.

Basically selling half of your collection is going to be futile so unless you really want them gone I recommend selling a few key ones (high price) now.

Mine finally arrived, yesterday. Happy to put it in the crate with my other DjRum and have it collect dust whilst looking absolutely beautiful :p

Wish I could get my hands on the Mountains EP, though. I wonder if 2nd Drop would consider reprinting it after the success of Seven Lies. Would be nice.

I agree with all of this. Prices are really high right now. I did sell some of the ones that I can bare to be without. I think I got 40 or 50 for SHEWORKS001 for example. Its a cool record but not that great. No doubt that whole label will all be repressed if the label thinks it can cash in on the frenzy. Represses will kill this market just like baseball cards got killed in the early 90s. They'll it up till there's nothing left.

So it's been a while - what y'all think? RA gave it a rather lukewarm review: http://www.residentadvisor.net/revi...w.aspx?id=12983

I think its an exceptional album. I can't remember ever agreeing with an RA review.

I think their reviews get too much flak.

I also love the album, would have given it a 4.

Read that review and while I somewhat agreed about the vocal samples in some tracks, the more I listen to them the more they get stuck in my head. A 3 rating is kind of cold, though I don't know a lot about dubstep and bass music, is there anyone that really has a cinematic sound and production style? It might now be anyone groundbreaking to some but it's so identifiable.

I like Obsession, Dam and Thank You(love that bassline and atmosphere) a lot. I wish the album would have been mixed or segued. Those Shadowbox track were ok, but sometimes my mind changes with time so who knows. As an album it kind of feels everywhere the first time through, I was expecting more perspective from him.

First LP had damaged cover and my second LP was delivered yesterday(hopefully not damaged again). Probably pick it up today and give the album another listen.

What does everyone think?
