PLEX.....was TERRIBLE. I'd say easily one of the worst set's I've heard at Stereo in the last 5 years...I thought he'd turn it around and happy to see him get off the decks....
I love his productions and listening to his recorded sets. More of a being a boat sound, outdoors, track here, track there...Place was packed and never took it anywhere.
On a positive review, Nicole was the best set I've heard at Stereo in a few years.....everyone just ate it up. She's Def the Queen of Stereo |

Stereo looked terrible Sat night. That was the worst excuse for decorations I've ever seen in that place. Hanging painted triangles that looked like styrofoam, and a line of miniature plastic safety cones along the top of the barrier facing the stairs. They would have been way better off doing no decorations at all.
Plex was pretty disappointing. He'd get a groove going, solid grinding bass, then totally drop it with beats devoid of rhythm or a b-line. Really inconsistent. I'm all for mixing it up, but there has to be some sort of continuity, and there was none that night. A very different crowd for Stereo on a Saturday night, much younger, way more girls, and unfortunately really pushy at the door. Not as bad on the dancefloor as I would have thought though. Much more standing, but less disrespectful than often goes in hand with this age group. I managed to have a good time, but largely because I stayed up in the seating area, which isn't normally my thing.
Several of my friends and I agreed that Maher did a great job warming up though. We had to leave shortly after he got back on after Plex, so unfortunately I didn't catch his closing set. |

| It as become quite obviuos that now a days people and ''young'' that is go out to a venue for the name status of it all ?. Maceo is a good producer and not a good dj, your review is what i tought of him at Piknic when he played there. At least in the afternoon you can still enjoy that way of playing but it is not to everyone to be able to play a afetrhour set ? as for the pushy crowd i thank you and all that writes about it because maybe and just maybe this crowd will educate themselves by reading it. And now we have Holden in the big room on a saturday night to me thats a big decision good music that you rarely get to ear versus crowd that makes you want to go to bed... |

| Caught a bit of Laura Jones before we decided to leave when it started raining, she's good. So unfortunate for her that she will soon become blind due to some medical condition...hope she manages to keep djing and producing... Really nice set-up again this year at piknic. We're so lucky to have this in our backyard all summer long. |

Awesome finally seeing you and also seeing Wiggs there and Craig's smooth medley of tracks, old and new, acid, deep, prog and tech just added to the nice evening at PE. |
