Wavefront Fest in Chicago

Anyone see this yet? I'm not going, too much money and I'm doing TW anyways, but this looks like it's going to give DEMF a run for its money. DEMF's lineup is kinda underwhelming this year, at least compared to year's past. And yeah I know the history of Detroit with techno, etc, but I'd much rather party in Chicago than Detroit. I've done both, gimme Chicago anyday.

$300 for the VIP with private bars and bathrooms overlooking the festival? Sounds just like DEMF...just $100 more. Lineup has a DEMF feel too (lots of tech-house, techno, deep house, nu-disco, etc). It's focused on those styles but there's still going to be "EDM" present too. Interested to see how this does this year, might have to go in 2014...

And is there anyone going to DEMF this year? Seems like there's less hype than usual for that thing. Lineup is kinda blah! It's like they're getting TOO serious, no relaxed tech-house like Nic Fanciulli or something. It's all hard-hitting techno. And where the is Drumcode??! :toothless

I went last year. The setup is cool. I was impressed that it was their first year. Well run fest and the crowd was into it.

Lineup this year looks dope.

Please tell me you're joking about DEMF!

The lineup this year is WAAAAAY better than last year, I was there. Last year was too "Deep" and didn't have enough bangers. What's cool about this year is there are sooo many guys playing that rarely come to the states, and when they do it's to play LA and Ny only.

Truncate, DVS1, Drumcell, Klock, Dettmann, Cashmere, Tommy Four Seven, Audion, Slam, Ryan Elliot, Hawtin, Osuna, Matador, Luke Slater (you want me to continue??? lol), Maetrik, Lucy, Digweed, Dubfire, Dave Clarke, and Carl Craig.

And there ARE Drumcode peeps... Moudaber and Ben Sims

Not to mention a CLR afterparty with Liebing

Perhaps you didn't see the full lineup because this festival is gonna be a BEAST

eh it is a good lineup, lol. I was def wrong. They must've very recently added more names. Even still id go to the Chicago fest over demf. Chicago >>>>> Detroit. Call me nuts but I'm not big into the CLR sound. I like to stay on the more tech-house side of techno. Just can't get excited for guys like T47. :conf:
