The flag of Libya
Libya's flag was adopted in 1977, after leaving the Federation of Arab Republics. Green is the national color of Libya as well as a symbol of devotion to Islam.

Yeah I knew it - and I think it's really cool (meaningful and simple)
Japan's flag has got a cool meaning too (the land where the sun comes from)
Does anyone know what the Russian flag mean!? I want to know :(
Anyway, here's the explanation for the Brazilian flag (it's way too complex :)):
Green - forest, jungle,...
Yellow - Gold and all our wealth (as if :D)
Blue - water resources
"Ordem e progresso" written in dark green on the white stripe - "Order and progress" comes from positivist philosophy, which influenced our politics
26 stars - if you look at the sky (at night and in the south hemisphere) you'll notice that every star is on it's right place. They're our 25 states and the Federal District (where I live :p) |
