That's pretty funny though. Spyro Gyra is from my hometown of Sacramento, CA. I have a couple of their albums myself. I really loved jazz before I got into trance, but I still listen to it from time to time.

I love jazz .

I've seen more concerts of jazz then of rock and such
( the most i've seen are classical orchestras )

( we're not talking djs, of which, I've seen a bunch )

jazz for those depressed days when I feel like I want some cocaine :p
people in the jazz scene do way to much drugs or alcohol....

Jazz is nice!We have a lot of innovative Jazz musicians here in Norway, and ppl like Bugge Wesseltoft,Nils Petter Molvær(who got remixed by ppl like Teebee and Herbert) and many more of them incorporate electronic music in their works,it sounds really nice.I saw Molvær live in my hometown some time ago.He played sax,and he had one guy on a sampler/turntable,another one on FX and a mixer, and a drummer with him. They started to jam together, and it was quite an experience.Add that they had a freaky light show, and it was quite a different thing concert wise.

But oldschool jazz is nice too. It's kinda hard for me to get really into, but if the mood is right,I just dig into my dad's vinyl collection and pull out some John Coltrane,Chick Corea or Miles Davis and put it on.Quite a mood setter.;)
