FYI - this is a DJ set - not sure why they aren't doing a live set, it's rare for them not to. I havent heard anything about their dj sets so i'd be interested to hear reviews from anyone who goes!

Sound is not a very big night club. 4 or 500 capacity

Yeah should be an intimate night w/ Booka Shade! :)

Pretty awesome night, Sound was packed by 11 and Booka Shade came on a few mins after midnight. Crowd was really into the set, and I could tell the DJ's were very appreciative. The night ended at 2:20am though, after a few encore songs they put on this weird old track (like from the 1940's, maybe?) and that plus the lights coming on cleared out the crowd pretty well. :)

Lighting was on the harsh side with the never ending strobes, but otherwise really glad that I went! As usual, the dance floor got way more relaxed and fun after the über wanna be upscale trendy bottle service crowd mostly left around 1 a.m. :D

did they mostly play their own tracks? or something else/what genre?

Both. I'd describe it as a blend of funky house and techno. I'm not big with track names, but i managed to tag Morning Drive (Probspot Rmx) by Mike Shiver and Teenage Spaceman by Booka Shade, those were two of my favorites.

Early in the set, they got on the mic and said "In Germany, this is how we do it" or something like that, and motioned the crowd to react. I think it was the equivalent of "put your hands in the air and make some futhermuckin' noise!"

The blue lighting, layout of the club and music reminded me a lot of The Love From Above party in Berlin that I went to in 2006. Of course, that party ended at 8am, I took the train back in the morning and went to the Love Parade same day, so I guess the comparison ends there... :)
