PERFECT for in a car, a lot of styles don't suit being plyed in a car, this does. big time. there are 2 volumes with 2 CD's each. get both.
they have ratchetted up more than 100 plays in mine. still fresh. |

Thank you! That is the kind of recommendation I am looking for. The one that just cannot miss.

Ambient, post-punk, IDM, hip-hop, dub, breaks, house, techno, progressive, acid jazz and more collide in one eye-wateringly funky three deck mix up. I wouldn't recommend driving to it though: you'll be far too stoned for that.

1. Leftfield - Melt [Hard Hands]
2. Public Image Limited - Radio 4 [Virgin]
3. Jam & Spoon - Hispanos In Space [Dance Pool]
4. Beaumont Hannant - Sym-Phone 5 [GPR]
5. DJ Edge - Edge Test [Edge Records]
6. Happy Larry's Big Beat Orchestra & Shaggy Wonder - Lego Beat [Beep Distraxion]
7. Cool Breeze - Tik Tok (C'Mon!) [Dorado]
8. Danny Red - Riddimwise (Part II - Re-Assess Your Style) [Columbia]
9. Dust Brothers - Dope Coil [Junior Boys Own]
10. Up Bustle & Out - Too Many Tricksters [Ninja Tune]
11. Mike Dred - Kosmik Konundrums EP [Machine Codes]
12. Moody Boys - Fight Back [Guerilla]

| This essential mix is actually a true dj set, no genre, just tells you a story and a great one. |

I've been listening to this over and over recently. Love it in the car late at night with some cigs:

I ended up with Moments Vol 2. I really liked the first cd. The second cd started off strong and then ended up with modern "beatport" techno as I like to call it. Plinky plonky and the woOooooo-woOooOO trademark m_nus bassline. If the second cd had just stuck w/ the prog I'd be all about this project.
I still like it enough to pick up volume 1 if I see it on the cheap. Thanks for the recommend. |
