Club recommendations in Berlin?

Going to Europe for the first time in September and will be stopping by Berlin for a couple days and was hoping to check out some of the techno scene there. Will be there for tues-thurs night so I'm hoping that there are some decent mid-week parties to check out. Anyone have any recommendations? I'm only really familiar with Berghain, Tresor, and Watergate.... Tresor's website seemed to have some weekly parties listed for wed-thurs nights so that seems to be the best option I've found so far. Berghain is probably closed mid-week? and not really too excited to wait in line for an hour and then get turned down at the door. Any advice is much appreciated!

Cheers
Haltron
I've been to both Watergate and Berghain during the week. I haven't been to Tresor so I can't comment on that. Both Watergate and Berghain are fun during the week but don't expect the crazy 48 hour parties on weekends. There also won't be a long line to wait in. If you're up for it try all three! Is Berlin the only German city you're visiting?

Way too early to give specific recommendations for a weekday party in September...

Having said that, the "big" guys don't run a full schedule during the week. Berghain sometimes has events on Wednesdays or Thursdays, but those could be concerts, as opposed to club events. You might get lucky though and get a Thursday label night, it does happen occasionally. I think Watergate is open only on Wednesdays during the week these days. Not a fan of Tresor (in its current reincarnation), or god forbid Weekend.

Having said that, its certainly possible to find a "quality" party during the week, but no way to say exactly where at this point. I'd keep an eye out for what's going on at Chalet, Renate, Ritter Butzke, or Suicide Circus. Those would be my recommendations for a "best bet". Post back here a week before your trip, or check RA the week of, and I'm sure you'll get a much better idea of what your options are.

Berghain's main room isn't open during the week (except for special events), but Panorama Bar is.

Panorama is open regularly during the week now? News to me...

I think Kantine might be somewhat regular as well, but it's not really the same thing.

Also going to Munich but only there for a Sunday & Monday night so not expecting much in terms of EDM!

I actually was on the RA site today and they seem to have pretty extensive listings for each week, so that might be the key!

Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

find your way to Harry Klein club. dunno where it is...but ive been listening to sets from it from the past 2 months (all 6-8hours long, all topnotch)

I wanted to see Nick Curly at Watergate when I went last summer, but the line to get in was unlike anything I had ever seen when I showed up. Instead, we checked out Suicide Circus. I have no idea who was playing, but it's a cool club and the music was awesome: heavy, banging German techno in the sweaty, smoked-filled, light displayed interior while groovy, melodic techno was being played in the summer air of the really dope outdoor patio.

I still remember they took us to this bar , the entrance was in a really dirty back alley with no signs whatsoever, you had to walk up 4 stories and then walked into this really weird place with banging techno, chicks making out and old CRT monitors covering the entire wall, pretty neat place (I think it was close to the red light district, but everything is a blur now lol)

Sounds like you were in the Tacheles building on Oranienburger Straße. Unfortunately it's no longer around in the same capacity. Gentrification ftl.
