| No doubt about that, sf has a great club scene overall, but for the Djs ruby skye books they're the only game in town most of the time |

There is a weird smell there, could start by removing the carpeting. |

its a combination of vomit, BO, and feet and it's most prevalent when there's not a lot of people in there. i can imagine that the place could really use an overall cleaning. |

I went to cosmic gate last night, and ruby skye is certainly getting a lot of extra funk lately, and not in a good way. I'm really not going back unless things get better quick.
Sets get shorter and prices get higher. They were charging 50 at the door. 2.5 hours sharp. No one I know who likes dance music can afford that and 10 dollar Jack and cokes, I only went alone because I really like cosmic gate, but the night was a real disappointment and the place was half empty, groups of people outside at the door heard 50 and went somewhere else quick.
I got a presale for 40 but to put this in perspective I paid 50 to see cosmic gate play on a yacht in Biscayne bay with Ben gold, 60 to see armin play for 3 hours at a venue with better sound, and 40 euros for together at amnesia ibiza. Ruby skye is out of its league charging these prices. There are a dozen venues in the bay area with much better sound and reasonable prices. There was a day you could walk up to the door on Fri Sat night 1am, pay 20, and see a good dj till 3 or 4, then I could deal with its issues, but those days seem to be gone
As for the crowd one guy looked totally out of his mind with stimulant psychosis and got dragged out and arrested, another guy puking all over a vehicle parked out front, stay classy. |

not trying to defend their actions (as I agree with you) but those dj fees have skyrocketed. I've said it before and I'll say it again. DJs get paid wayyy too much |

Yeah support your local DJ! ill be doing a lot more of that!
What especially bothers me is that CG played at ruby skye not too long ago on a thursday, so keep in mind there are far less alcohol sales, the tickets were half the price and they played at least 3 hours. It was a packed house. I doubt if CG fees have gone up that much in the meantime, I mean I suppose it's possible, but they aren't as big as a Dash Berlin or something and are pretty down to earth guys. I don't know the business, but just have a hunch that this was an attempt to cash in by having them play on a weekend for inflated prices since they have always had a big draw in the past. |

That's exactly what they're doing, trying to cash in while they can. It will bite them in the ass soon enough, and then they'll probably have to close down because everyone will be over their , regardless if they lower prices again. |

| Judging from the attendance i'm not sure if it actually worked last night. The only time ive been able to walk straight up to the bar and get a drink with no wait there. The good news is, in addition to all the great local djs we have, theres a nice effort going on to get guys like Boom Jinx and Ronski Speed here at Project One, Vessel etc. All good things must end! |

They used to give away tickets for that guy....
Who(otto) knows who the super duper major surprise guest dj's are on june 21 and june 22? I know my homies are in the 414 friday, so that will be dope. But still curious about the feet smelling main room. |
