What the was he thinking with those strings from 4 minutes and onwards. That hook is 10/10 perfect, I could listen to it for 15 minutes straight. No frigging need to with it.

OOOH maan

You gotta listen Philippe El Sisi Vs. Fady & Mina - Zombies

It is like you are listening Forever Today on radio, and suddenly your father changes the channel and listens Lady Gaga.

OK its not that bad but i really REALLY LOVED the intro.FSOE Vol.2/CD2 for 1:20 seconds it amazed me,then it was just a below-average trance.

Original mix sucks anyway.

(On a side note, after writing that,I realized father listening lady gaga would be hilariously interesting)

Chapel of rest - last prayer. I didnt like the slowed down 2nd half of the track but Im sure it would bang in a club.
Syntonic

Probably lots of tracks to name but off the top of my head, this one comes to mind. It sounds really slick and groovy then @2:35, the change in rhythm just sucks the life out of it. I'm not sure what they were thinking on the remix, it's like they changed their minds during the production. It does pick up later on, but I just can't get back into it.

Every track that does that annoying 'anti-build'.

Every. Single. One.

Not to play devil's advocate, but I actually like the strings lol.

Melodic build-up, snareroll, white-noise wash......

I'll have to fight you to the death :whip: I mean they are nice strings but they butcher the hook.

Oh yeah, I frigging hate that . It works on certain floor cuts but it's way ing overused.

By the way here's a nice quote from Rod Modell that's way relevant to this thread

quote:
I remember Mike Schommer and I were in a club in Detroit, and we noticed that every song started out really nice. Just a simple rhythm and bass line with some noises floating in and out. Perfect! Then some other element would fade in, then another, then another, then… the music was totally ruined at this point. We couldn’t figure out why these artists didn’t just leave well enough alone. They had a nice thing going and totally convoluted it every time. They destroyed it with too much complexity.

I think it depends more on the track than anything else.

Strings are nice but everything else is boring the vocals the buildup and its so dull I almost went to sleep with this track.
