I'm researching musical emotion (I'm doing a ph.d. in this subject).
As classical music is concerned, there is a lot of research about what people feel when listen to it. But for electronic music there isn't.
I've made a test where you can listen to music and later the quiz will tell you which emotional content you liked in music, which you disliked, and you can also compare your results to other participant's results.
It's on
emotify.org
And you will also help science a lot!
Would be great to hear your feedback, both here and on the website.

I feel like a unicorn running on golden fields.
Or a mermaid swimming in an ocean of eternity.
It's a happy feeling. I feel joy and warmth. It takes over my body.
I feel like being a shining star in the sky. I shine bright when I am next to my star family. We are the eternal star family in the sky, everlasting, ever shining. I feel comfort and happiness.
Sometimes I feel like a walrus who had his first orgasm. But only when I hear a really good trance track. |

May be you just don't feel this way so you think that's a joke!
Might also be he uses something else except trance music... |

Well the more fluffy type of tracks would come from songs like:
Gouryella - Walhalla
Agnelli & Nelson - El Nino
Kamaya Painters - Endless Wave
System F - Out of The Blue
those are the more fluffy type of tracks that make you feel all unicorns and rainbows |

If I listen to a really amazing track by Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, David Guetta, Avici, Deadmau5, Hardwell, Dash Berlin, Afrojack or Skrillex I feel like I want to hug the world. In madness.
At times, every little thing just ticks me off making me very, very angry so angry that I am capable of harming people.
When I listen to beats by Skrillex for example, I feel a tightness around my chest and there are so many times I wished I could just kill whoever it was who irritated me. When I get angry, it doesn't really matter who you are. I know that I'm capable of violence, and music by the above artists faciliates channelling my eternal anger towards my next victim.

Personally, trance has only ever gotten me to the level of "walrus having his second orgasm."
There must be some stronger stuff out there that will let me kick it up a notch!

This is confusing... The second orgasm is not necessarily less strong than the first one. Well, at least for girls, I'm not sure about men.
I din't get any orgasms from the music posted above.( Though some of it was engaging.
But I actually never got orgasms from music also before, only shivers sometimes, you know that sensation running down your spine |
