Dear friend,
Greetings to you and your family.

I am Mrs. Amadou Gloria, A widow to late Mr. Greg Amadou; I am 56 years old, suffering from pancreatic cancer, My condition is really bad and it is quite obvious that I will not live more than one week according to my doctors but I strongly believe in God and not the doctors and if it is the will of God that I will die, then so shall it be.

Nevertheless I am willing to donate the sum of 1,700.000.00 US dollars for you to help widows and the less privileged in the rural and urban areas and to carry out charity works, my promise to God Almighty is to help the poor people and I hope you have the kind of heart and ability to help others that is of needs, if so please do not hesitate to indicate to me, your interest.

I wait to see your response. [email protected]
My regards,
Mrs. Amadou Gloria.

Last week a chick I know made a post on FB, saying that her daughter's friend from school has cancer, and they are making and selling 'therapy bags' at 10 bucks a pop to raise funds.

She asked me if I would ask my coworkers if they would buy some, and I said "Yeah sure I'll ask around."

So before I could even go to work and ask people what they thought, she sends me a presumptuous text saying "I have the bags ready right now so you can take them in to work tonight, I can come over right now."

Which kind of pissed me off - so then I got to thinking about the schemes she has pulled in the past, and also about the fact that I can't just solicit people at work for "charity" without some kind of legit pledge form + a receipt. I would get in big if I just went around asking everyone for 10 bucks for this.

So I texted her back saying "Can you give me a formal pledge form to put up in the staff room? And you will need to provide receipts or else I can't solicit people at work." Knowing that A)I would actually have to provide that and B)she is most likely pulling some and won't be able to provide that for me.

And I was right. She didn't text me back OR provide me with any legitimate info.

What a ty ing thing to do. Not only that, but I'm insulted she thought I was that naive. I hope to god other people aren't stupid enough to give her money.

I was putting on a gown and gloves before entering an isolation room a few weeks back, and as I pulled the glove over my hand I looked over at one of the physician assistants and said, not even really thinking about it, "TIME FOR YOUR RECTAL EXAM!" Instantly I thought "Wow, that person is not your friend, you are at work!" But the PA laughed so ing hard and said "Yeah, I do that too sometimes."

Ahahahahahaha.
