Went to a friends new studio the other day, and saw he also had upgraded his mixer. He'd found an ad on Norways version of craigslist that only said "urei mixer". Turns out it was a 1605, mint condition. He paid like 400 USD for it and a long ass story.
It sounded pretty sweet, and :eyes: them knobs o m g. so nice tactile feel, and the eq curves were tight as .

Anybody else want to talk about mixers that are better than DJM-x00?

you can get them for even cheaper here. They are made in China.

Reminds me to this RANE mixer i was using for more than half a year, great sound quality, great response only downside for me is that it's a rotary mixer and i prefer faders but if you want something accurate...

For a minute there, I thought you were talking about the famous Urei 1620. They were reproduced a couple of years ago by Soundcraft. I'm not sure if the new ones sound as good as the old school ones, but the old ones are legendary.

I like rotary mixers, but one thing that bugs me out is that the connections are on the bottom of the mixer. It makes it really unpractical for hot swaps but they're great for permanent installs.

Best mixer i ever used and regret selling. I sold it because the NI Z2 had better quality because of the shorter signal path. I remember recording my first flawless mix with it and been great since.
