It sucks when your girlfriend/spouse does something thoughtful for you like bringing you home a nice 6 pack of beer after work, but it's a beer that you don't like at all. |
Order of beer preference:
-Free Beer delivered by your woman
-Free Beer

- Your favorite beer
- Cheap beer |

Tangent, but I have never understood the concept of 'cheap beer'. It just doesn't seem that cheap. A 6-pack of Budweiser will usually ring in at 6-7-8$, whereas you can get a 6-pack of Stone IPA or something comparatively crafty for 9-10$.
??
Obviously there are expensive beers out there, and they're typically worth the price of admission. But I just don't understand anyone's attraction to ty beer just because it saves them 20 cents a bottle (While often simultaneously containing 20% less alcohol!). |

I agree, but this was free beer that I actually really don't like the taste of. |

| I felt bad because it wasn't cheap beer she bought either. It was smuttynose robust porter, which I think is about $10 for a 6 pack here. I mean, I'LL DRINK IT pfft. |

Ha, you'd probably love it if you drank coffee. :p
I was going to say it might be a good one to cook brats in, but that sounds pretty wretched now that I know what beer it is. |

| You could ask her to bake a cake with it! Everybody wins. |

| Hmm that could be interesting. I just hate the coffee flavor in anything. I have had bread made with Guinness before which was really good. A lot of people seem to think Guinness tastes like coffee (I don't know why though). |

Yeah, if I lived in the USA, I would feel the same way you do. Problem is that in Canada, the beer prices are so ridiculously overpriced it's insane. That and the jump in price from domestic to 'all-right' domestic is ludicrous. |
