I'm surprised the hype around her is still going. Oh well, each to their own.

Well, she's a slightly above average DJ and producer but she's a woman with funny hair in an industry of boring old white dudes and that makes her stand out.

"above average dj" ?

She couldn't mix instant cake mix.

eh, anyone got a complete tracklist of this? those unknowns man. I would love the name for track 6 (seems like this is 2 tracks, the first one = bomb) and 11.

edit: first track of 6 is some remix of paper aeroplane

edit 2: Francesco Rossi feat. Angus & Julia Stone - Paper Aeroplane (vocal mix)

edit 3: 11 is Maya Jane Coles - Everything

i missed seeing her live a few weeks ago...sold out and i didn't get a presale.

that said, my good friend who's taste i trust completely told me she destroyed the place. so i'm hoping she comes back soon.

Have you seen her in person? If so, where?

She is a very solid producer though, whether I like her music or not.

From my experience, most people in the scene think so. But the opinions about her djing are very mixed.
wotyzoid
I love her music, I think she's a true artist as opposed to the typical producer type. I think that might have something to do with her surge, also.

Really like her productions. Not listening is an awesome track. Seen her 3 times as well. She was awesome twice but not great the other time. Was an early set though.

I saw her play here in Montreal at Igloofest, an outdoor winter festival in front of 10,000 people. The volume was way too low, especially the bass. Every track she played sounded exactly the same, and her mixing was in horrible.
