most of these sounds just like standard presets of any vst. no real originality. sorry to say it but its been a while since ive actually heard anything half decent presets soundbank of any kind. |

Well its pretty hard to keep a soundbank fully original as lots people seem to like sounds that are like whats been played at the moment. I know it doesnt make a soundbank exciting this way but I do it to try attract new producers to hopefully invest. I do think a good few sounds though are kind of original to my style over the last few years.
I do agree though that most preset packs these days arent that great. Ive spent a fortune on banks over the last 9 years and find nowadays most sites get big name producers to make packs which they sell for a massive price. Thats why I like to think this time the price justifies the pack. Its not to high and theres a good arsenal of sounds to get any track going. Might add more fx though as had people told me most packs dont have enough of them.
Do you have an email I can contact you on man?
Cheers,
Sean. |

yeah the price is probably good but to me presets should be included when you buy a synth. 100s of them. and some free aditional user librarys on their website. like it did with hardware synth back in the day, you could actually use the factory presets at times.
edit: i dont use email, PM me if anything that cant be posted in the thread :) |

PM'd ya earlier dude.
Pricing is hard I think. People say if you put it to low it won't sell because they will think a cheap product is e, just because of the price. I don't really sell many of the banks anyway, normally they just get downloaded off some torrent sites. I'd probably give people my 3 banks for the above price if it would encourage more to invest but even if that low people would still rather download from a torrent site.
After my last bank I said I wouldn't do another Trance one, but did and kind of regret it actually. |

€15 for 185 decent quality presets isn't high, in fact it's slightly below the average.
You can't be original with Sylenth, it's not really complex enough to do anything new with.
Get yourself a website sorted out though. Having to email you to buy them will put 95% of people off. |

Ya whenever I create sounds for my own tracks they are drowned in plugin fx, especially distortion as sylenth isnt strong enough on its own for making those big sounds.
I have some websites selling it from next week but they will be charging 25 - 30 for the bank. I do actually have my own website so maybe il take your advice and create my own purchase option on there. Thats a good idea!!
Its gathering dust nowadays lol. www.djseancronin.com |
