After Max Graham we wanted to start bringing back the art of the long set, once a month or sometimes twice in this case we will try to have an artist go open to close or at least 4 hours. Calling it Rabbit Hole Nights.

So they took ours out and kept this one, which is exactly opposite of what i asked lol

so the club is gonna open at 10pm and close at 3am?

agree with the diss. comments here about Santos.
Place sucks now, not just for the crowd.
Its really a cramped layout, and sometime in the last year or so, they've added bottle 'n couches VIP areas that take up a lot of floor space.
Used to be a decent spot for dancing to the left side of stage, all gone now. Worse, traffic into that poseur area is from the front, so there is this constant pushing etc on the left of the floor from the back, absolute PITA. ditto raised area on right.
So, no more room on left, no more on right, back is the entrance, no room to move.
yeah, the typical crowd isn't moving WITH the music (they sure are against), but agree with all above that dislike:
sucks , and not just because of Kandy.
Jaytec night sucked, hightailed it out of there to Capriati, def. not feeling it. (anyone seen my posts, or knows me knows I don't normally let the venue OR crowd pull me down, but that hole sure did...)
Music did nothing for me, it sounded as if he was putting it on for that crowd, including the obligatory mic-comments, arm waves and such from the podium: ok at SHM (because of Lowered Expectations), but not from someone I want to be able to respect
never been to basement, so thats excluded from this, but really: if you've got to go to a remote room with piped in sound, its like listening at home on a good system with a bunch of people...
Wish this def. was elsewhere, like the 58th venue.
of course, will still go:
all it takes is for enough serious people to buy all the tickets, no Guido!
That ought to make the place bearable.
@ escala & pantone: just edit first post by replacing all info with the escala stuff.
Pantone seems like a reasonable guy, and escala can surely sweeten the deal for Pantone? :)
If you do, let me know so I can be sure to try to co-opt escala's next one! :D

yea man its all good. dont think i can make it this sunday will be at the day party if no rain
but for askew i will be there. dont worry if theres tables on the main floor or yolo crowd i will make room for you to bust a move

Dekay ? Had thought about it, but doing music 8pm-10am makes 3pm after that too early, I like to get some sleep :)

will be fine. only time I almost had a fight was at a Jane's show at HoB in AC, guy thought people shouldn't be moving, and that was only a few feet from a mosh r pit, LOL (which stupidity I don't join...) |
