Help identify instruments used for this track....Three N' One - Sin City

I have this same thread going over on GearSlutz so I'll cross reference them when people post over there.

I'm working on remixing this track and I'm not super good at identifying the various percussive instruments and some of the synths used. I have been told the melody that starts at 2:11 is the Roland JD990 preset "Pizza Hutt" - Not sure about the other Pizzicato stab sound. I hear a lot of 808/909 but I'm not 100% which is which. The clap is from an 808, right? Square bass?

Kick
Clap
Hand Clap
Snare 1
Snare 2
splash/Crash/reverse Symbol
Open HiHat
Closed HiHat
Pizzicato
SynthBass
Backing Chords

Wait! What the !

I just posted in the other thread about Olympik records would like to hear from you and said you'd ed off for eternity.

Welcome back. Where the did you go?

all the main drums are 909
the intro hihat could be a number of machines but most likely 909 sampled in an akai sampler and filtered. same with the kick.

All synths could be done with the jp8000. The dance pizzicato is typically from the jv 1080 which he seems to have.
bass could be alot of things but considering the year , probably the nord if not , the juno 60. But ya, could do it with any synth.

not a single 808 sound .

honestly, fi you can't tell an 808 by now ....

if your remixing it, whats the point in knowing whats been used in the original really? u only need to make the midi or sample the main hook imo :)

Hit a rough spot. Sold everything off and had to focus on more important things in life.

Recently moved, jobs going well, and want to refocus on the production side of things, mainly writing. Sticking to 3 synths (virus, sylenth, blue) and 2 sets of plugs (ableton, uad.) Simplying things has really helped me. Think Jack of all trades, master of none.

Working on Ambassador - Fade remix as well as Sin City.
