Yeah, that makes sense. Use analog or digital hardware to avoid aliasing, so that you can use a digital mastering process on your entire mix. DSI Mopho is what you want and I will sell mine to you for $1000 (+$150 shipping/handling).

i can get a mpho new for 1300, so id rather odo that, but I'm not sure any more about it, it only has 4 voices nad the keyboard is smalll, and i read the adaptor is really flimsy i think the virus snow is prolly the best route

you clearly dont' really know much and i would really advise against spending money at this point in time.

And as nice as they sound which they do , all that is pretty much lost once you start adding it to a mix. They sound great on their own but the second you start adding them to a standard edm mix, you really are not going to be able to tell the 4000 $ saw wave from the stock logic synth.

then why is virus industry standard right now? youre right i am totally dumb in terms of the tech lingo but i know music i am a musician

i'm gettin a virus snow

i think this old forum posts sums it up nice:

I own a Virus C and have no experience with a snow:
My reckoning is that if one gets a hardware synth, it should be for the control and immediacy that a hardware synth brings. Don't get me wrong, the snow is obviously an incredible synth and I'm not knocking it, but I imagine trying to control a bohemith synth like a virus with so few knobs kinda defeats the idea of having a hardware unit. Having said that, I still end up hitting the menus pretty hard with my C so you'll probably end up doing it anyway. Another thing to think about is that you need a midi and audio interface with the C, which unless you already have, will exceed the price of a snow and probably even a ti when combined with the C anyways. Also the C has more outputs while the snow has more polyphony. The C has 16 parts while the snow has 4, so I imagine the C would be better for multi's while the snow would be better at singles. The snow has extra oscillator types though.
I'm not sure what the stat is on the C, but on the B, the control surface represents less than half the editable parameters of the Virus. Its a tight squeeze, even with the B, let alone the snow. snow wins over all for gigging I'd imagine though... Good luck and hope that helps!

the industry standard for what you like is massive. Thats great that you are a musician but we aren't talking about music.

every single complaint you made applies to the VIRUS. They have a software version that sounds identical that as available in like 2003. Direct port of the virus b. Your synth is software .
