I always wanted to attend. I think in the US some of this would largely depend on the location. VIP tickets for saturday in Vegas on sensation.com already sold out. same for Miami.
But in Oakland and NY, its the regular tickets selling out.
I think I'm going to gamble on some vip tickets for vegas...if I dont go, hopefully I can get my money back (in fact I'm sure I'll be able to)....If I got I'm going deluxe!
The only thing I am not expecting a big name headliner like an Armin. They obviously dont need to. |

Why the hell is Oakland the most expensive out of all the cities?
$185...   |

| There are plenty of young wealthy tech folks in the bay area for whom a $185 pricetag isn't all that prohibitive. This would be a good place to go to try and land a hot Google employee on E for the 2nd time, the first being at Swedish House Mafia. |

I went to the show in NYC and let me just say it was not worth it.
If you want to have a good idea about the lineup...go see who just played in Brazil.
Without a line...buyer beware!!!! (you've been warned):whip: |

Saw it in Barclays on Friday in NYC. It was more the venue that turned me off to the whole thing.
Music was pretty decent...Ferrer was probably my favorite if I remember correctly.
But if it's in a sporting arena...pass on it...just not as fun as it looks in Europe |

They need to just have a proper one in an indoor football stadium. That I would not only buy a ticket for, but also a flight to where ever it is.
These ty little basketball stadium are sooooo bad for dance music, and plopping the stage right in the middle is just horrible with such a small floor space. If you look at pictures from NYC Sensation or POP360, you can look on the sides and there is about 15 feet of dance floor, and at most 100 feet on the wide ends. Then it's all rows of seating, which is an instant deal breaker for me.
The European ones in the soccer stadiums are sick, but these little s don't even come close. |

Correct. I bought tix to Sensation White 2006 before the lineup came out (it sells out in something like 12 hours, so that's the only way to do it). Was expecting something like the year before when Armin headlined, but it was all House except for Sander Kleinenberg (quasi House) and Ferry Corsten. It was visually appealing, but the music was a big disappointment for me with the exception of Ferry's set.
The Love Parade (RIP) in Berlin two weeks later saved the trip for me, though. Love from Above the night before the parade with PVD, Guiseppe Ottaviani, Moguai and many other Techno artist/DJ's, then LoveBase afterparty at the Kulturbrauerei with Stoneface & Terminal, Kyau & Albert, Menno de Jong, etc.
On top of all this, Sensation NL 2013 is EUR 80,00 - about $105USD, while Sensation: The Ocean of White is $185USD (including "convenience fees)." I wouldn't even think of going without seeing the lineup first, would much rather go to EDC and hope that LoveEvolution will someday return to SF! :D |
