Totally agree with what the guy said. Thanks for sharing the article.

Completely agree. Have pretty much given up on the festivals. No FOMO here ;)

Its almost ironic, we went from undergrounds to massives in the late 90's early 00's, all of a sudden they disapeared for a good 4-5 years, and now massives/festivals are bigger than ever.

Good article! I miss the old raves. People were nice and mature.

those were some of the best times of my life.. when it wasn't so crowded and you knew everyone that was going

Agreed. After attending UMF 15 for the last time, I can definitely say the vibe has changed from over the years when I went to my first festival in 2001. Kids are sloppy and all about the drugs, not really caring about the music. They just want to hear what their friends told them about or what is popular.

It disgusts me that America always will take something that has potential and just beat the living out of it until it is nothing anymore. I am delighted to think that this will some day happen with all the big festivals that are happening right now and that the return of the underground will once again be a large factor among "older" individuals. This is just a common dream of mine though.

Festivals in Amsterdam will never change ... by far the best in the world !!
I did Electronic Family last year and it was great ... no kiddos with stupid accessories nor weirdly over-dressed ....

Im 32 and I was the average age, even a few year below the average .... aweome vibes, great people who care for the music !!

Great article ...

Good timing with the $400 price ticket for Ultra 2014

Surely these festivals have peaked which is why Ultra is only going one weekend.

This was when life was good. Before 9/11

Oh ! You just brought back a load of memories. I was there and I still have the pictures I took that night. I'll post them soon. That was one hell of a party. I remember the line to get off the freeway was nuts. Traffic was completely stopped. We all got off our cars and started dancing on the freeway. Just nuts! Sooo much fun!

Thanks for that video.

BTW, do you know who was the surprise DJ that night? I think it was Roger Sanchez cuz if I remember correctly, he's on the pictures I took. I'll dig them up.
